From today's Progress Report...

Just days after its release, "Outfoxed: Rupert Murdoch's War on Journalism," a film co-sponsored by the Center for American Progress, is selling like hotcakes, bouncing between the #1 and #2 most popular DVDs on Amazon.com. (Watch a preview of the film, and read major news coverage of it.)

I am co-chairing the new Progressive Legislative Action Network (PLAN), an organization dedicated to passing progressive legislation in all 50 of America's state capitals. PLAN held its formal kickoff on August 16, 2005 with more than 120 state legislators from 40 states. Read this article about PLAN and how progressives are going to start taking the fight to the states.

Vermont's Independent Congressman Bernie Sanders doesn't take corporate PAC money, so he's going to need all the grassroots help he can get in his upcoming 2006 campaign for the U.S. Senate. The national GOP is promising an onslaught to win the race - give Sanders' grassroots campaign a boost by making a campaign donation today. (I don't do any ads other than the google ad on top - but I'm making an exception and putting up this Bernie ad for free - this race is just too important!)

I am the co-chairperson of the Progressive Legislative Action Network (PLAN) - a position I took after finishing a stint as a fellow at the Center for American Progress. I am also a writer for Working Assets, and a twice-a-week guest on the Al Franken Show. I have just completed a book for Random House's Crown Publishers entitled "Hostile Takeover" - it will be released Spring 2006. I also write a bi-weekly section for the Nation Magazine called Permanent Minority vs. Towards the Majority about Democrats failures and successes.
