38 Republicans Vote Against Armor for Soldiers

Operation Truth has a stunning post noting that 39 Republican U.S. Senators last week voted against funding needed to equip Humvees in Iraq with better armor (official Senate roll call vote is here).

This vote comes after Newsweek reported that roughly one quarter of U.S. casualties in Iraq might have been prevented if Humvees were adequately armored.

The Republican Party: an organization that supports sending U.S. soldiers to die in Iraq without providing them the means to defend themselves.
