Though he won't formally kick off his campaign for a while, Rep. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) has these new blog ads up, meaning he is officially running for the Senate in Vermont. As I've shown,
Sanders is clearly the strongest candidate to prevent this seat from going to the Republicans (and
national Democrats already realize that). And he will be a welcome progressive voice in the archconservative Senate. Because Bernie doesn't take corporate PAC money, he's going to need all the help he can get from the inevitable GOP onslaught, so
