On Iraq, Dems Hit the Gas As the Cliff Approaches

There are so many metaphors you could use to describe Democrats' irresponsibility in trying to pretend the Iraq War doesn't exist. You can imagine an ostrich with its head in the sand. Or how about a child hiding under his bed and sucking his thumb? I think the most accurate, though, is that of someone driving towards a cliff, and instead of breaking, he puts his head down and hits the gas.
