What Happens When the GOP Runs Things for Too Long
The Great Falls Tribune today provides a good example of what happens when a state is run by special interests for more than a decade: it refuses to put laws in place to protect average citizens. For more than a decade prior to the 2004 election, Montana was a one-party Republican state. Now, thanks to that, as Big Oil rips off Montana consumers, the state doesn't have a law on the books to prevent price gouging, effectively tying the hands of state officials who want to stop the profiteering.
