DeLay's Crocodile Tears Over Recusals

Former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay (R-TX) is shedding a whole lot of crocodile tears, demanding that the judge who will oversee his money laundering case recuse himself because he is a Democrat. That's really rich, isn't it? Remember - DeLay didn't say anything when Democrats demanded that House GOPers who took DeLay's dirty money recuse themselves from the House Ethics Committee, which was supposed to investigate DeLay. While two Republicans eventually did recuse themselves, House Ethics Committee Chairman Rep. Doc Hastings (R-WA) refused, despite taking DeLay's dirty money and despite his ties to the lobbying firm at the center of one of DeLay's major scandals. Apparently to DeLay, recusals are only appropriate if they help him personally.
