Next time, just let Captain Kangaroo Preside

As I note over at the Huffington Post, yesterday's Senate hearings on energy prices was a true tribute to kangaroo courts, both in the way the Republicans kissed up to the oil industry profiteers, and in how the regulators who testified are beholden to the very industry they are supposed to be regulating. Next time, if lawmakers are going to be that unserious and that uninterested in a serious crisis, they should just let Captain Kangaroo preside over the "hearings." He'd do a better job than they would.
