Five Democrats Still Have Explaining To Do

In a post yesterday, I pointed out that 6 House Democrats missed the crucial budget vote on Monday - a vote that passed by 6 votes. I said we, the public, deserves an explanation as to why they missed the vote and said that we should "remember that it is possible that some of these 6 House members had really good reasons for not being there." Well, at least one has responded with an explanation - it it is a good one.

Rep. Lucille Roybal-Allard (D-CA) missed the vote due to a death in her family. I'd say that's about as valid a reason as is out there.

As an update - still no word on the other five.
