PLAN Secures Major Resources, Begins Initial Expansion

Some great news today about the new Progressive Legislative Action Network (PLAN) - the organization being built to support progressive legislation in all 50 states. In a press release today, PLAN announced that its 501c(3), received a major financial commitment from the Open Society Institute, while its 501(c)4 received manjor financial commitments from AFSCME, SEIU, the United Steelworkers of America, and the Amalgamated Transit Union. Additionally, PLAN announce that attorney, writer, and community activist Nathan Newman will be the organization’s first Policy Director.
