Progressive Energy in California

Am just now back from a whirlwind trip to California where I gave a speech to the executive board of the California Democratic Party. At the event, I had the priviledge of seeing many fantastic California leaders speak, and I was particularly impressed with State Treasurer Phil Angelides (D), who really fired up the crowd with a populist call to arms. It was inspiring to see that the most populous state in America has such a populist political streak - one that Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (R) is going to have to go up against in 2006.
