Dems Rush to Support Free Trade With Country Opposed to Min. Wage

Check out this article from the Malaysian National News Agency - Democrats from the House and Senate are stampeding to support President Bush's free trade push with Malaysia, a country whose official policy is to oppose any minimum wage whatsoever. Forget about the fact that such a trade deal would force Americans to compete with slave wages, forget about the fact that such a trade deal would encourage the government of Malaysia in its repression of workers - the Democratic Party, supposedly the "party of the working class" have made their message is clear: the only thing that matters is corporate profits.
