Gov't & Corp. Execs Wage War on Shareholders
Readers of this blog know that one of the issues I've focused on is the tension between shareholders and company management, and more specifically, between ordinary citizen shareholders (as opposed to fat cat shareholders) and corporate executives. Today, the San Francisco Chronicle ran an op-ed I wrote on the subject. The entire subject is fascinating. The fact that executives have the chutzpah to not only defy their companies' owners, but actively try to undermine them tells a lot about the "greed is good" culture our government has allowed to flourish. Check out the op-ed here.
