A Sign Of Just How Comfortable America Is With Lies
In the Washington Post today, University of Chicago Law Professor Cass Sunstein says "There is a very good argument that the president had it wrong on WMD in Iraq but that he was acting in complete good faith." The fact that anyone can even utter such an inane, deliberately dishonest statement is testament to how comfortable our society is with lying. I refer readers to this 2004 In These Times article to understand just how ridiculous Sunstein's comment is - and how utterly laughable similar comments are along the same lines.
